1. Who We Are
Homesteading Alliance ("we," "us," "our") publishes digital guides on regenerative growing, natural farming inputs, composting, and homesteading. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to homesteadingalliance.com, forgottenfarmer.com, shop.homesteadingalliance.com, our checkout and order pages, and the emails we send you (together, the "Site"). It does not cover offline activity or websites run by other companies, even if we link to them.
By using the Site or buying from us, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us. This includes your name, email address, billing details, and anything you write to us when you place an order, join our email list, or contact support. Card details are entered on our payment processor's secure form. We do not store your full card number.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may collect your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, the page that referred you, time spent, and clicks. This is collected through cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies.
Information from marketplaces. If you buy through ClickBank or Digistore24, they share your order details with us so we can support your purchase. Their own privacy policies apply to the information they collect.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To process your order and deliver your downloads, links, and online tools.
- To send order confirmations, receipts, and delivery emails.
- To answer your questions and provide customer support.
- To send you tips, product updates, and offers by email if you have signed up or purchased. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To measure how our pages and ads perform and to improve our products.
- To prevent fraud, protect the Site, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Email and Unsubscribing
Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Once you unsubscribe, we stop sending marketing emails. We may still send messages about your orders, downloads, refunds, or account, because those are part of the service you asked for.
5. Who We Share Information With
We share information only as needed to run our business:
- Service providers that help us take payments, host the Site, store contacts, send email, and provide analytics. Our customer and email platform is GoHighLevel.
- Marketplaces (ClickBank, Digistore24) if you purchased through them.
- Advertising and analytics platforms that help us understand which ads and pages work.
- Authorities or other parties when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
- A buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganized.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
6. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
We may use cookies and similar tools, including Google Analytics, the Meta (Facebook) pixel, and similar advertising tools. These help us count visits, see which pages are useful, and show our ads to people who may be interested. Some of these tools set their own cookies, and those companies handle the data under their own policies.
You can control cookies in your browser settings. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising here:
- Google: adssettings.google.com
- Network Advertising Initiative: optout.networkadvertising.org
- Meta: facebook.com/adpreferences
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. The Site does not currently respond to these signals.
7. How Long We Keep Information and How We Protect It
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide your products, support you, meet legal and tax requirements, and resolve disputes. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
